Imagine thousands of nude bodies strategically placed together in public. No this is not a set up for a mass orgy. It is the set up for a photo shoot by famed nude photographer Spencer Tunick. Tunick has photographed thousands of people all over the world in the nude. These people are just ordinary people who are willing to disrobe for the sake of art and photography. Check out this gallery. There is also a film title Naked States that chronicles Spencer Tunick’s pursuit taking pictures of normal people throughout the 50 states of America.
And he is at it again. Laughing Squid reports:
Breaking his previous record, Spencer Tunick shot photos of over 18,000 naked people all in one place today at his massive nude photo shoot at The Zócalo in Mexico City. Milenio has coverage of it (in Spanish), including a bunch of photos and Carlos Garcia has some great photos on Flickr. Here’s more coverage from SF Gate (Associated Press), Los Angeles Times and Stuff.
Spencer’s next large scale nude shoot will be on June 23rd in Amsterdam.
Anyone up for a trip to Amsterdam this summer?
